This one came together under pressure, limited time, minimal room to plan, and a lot of unknowns.

But instead of falling apart, things kept lining up. The right people showed up, matched quickly, and moved as one.

The process shaped itself as it went.
Decisions didn’t slow it down, they became part of the flow.

It’s rare to find a process that feels this smooth, especially under these conditions. And even rarer when it turns into something genuinely enjoyable.

After wrap, we went out for bún thịt nướng. A simple moment but a good one.

It felt nice seeing the work turn into something tangible, something that could stay with David and Yasmin as a souvenir.

There’s a small detail in the final Yasmin balcony shot that I really like.

It actually wasn’t the original shot we planned to end on. The director ended up wrapping that shot later because the choreography worked better there.

But while shooting it, I noticed something on the monitor: as the dancer turns, a group of birds suddenly flies across the frame in almost the exact same direction as the dancer choreography movement.

It wasn’t planned. But I remember noticing it immediately and thinking that it was a really nice detail.

When Khánh Ngô came back to edit the first draft, he also saw something in that shot. He decided to push that version and sell the moment with the birds, and David and Yasmin both really liked it.
